I think all of us can relate to being busy. Are you so busy that at the end of the day you fall into your bed exhausted, promising yourself that tomorrow, this weekend, 10 days from now, or maybe during the Holidays you will take time to take care of yourself?
We are really good at not taking time off. I am not talking about work, I am talking about being “on.” Granted, some of us are actually more extroverted and often get energy from people, doing things, or being social. Me on the other hand, I get energy from being quiet. But getting quiet during my day is actually not as easy as it sounds. Sure I am in the car by myself, I can eat lunch by myself, but I am still doing something – driving, eating, thinking!
This OCTOBER I challenge you all to get quiet EVERYDAY. The benefits are lower blood pressure, a boost to your immune system, a calmer mind, better digestion, improved confidence, increased discipline, less anxiety, and improved concentration. Most of all, this will give you one on one time with yourself that allows you to learn more about WHO you are, and what your bigger picture looks like.
So here is the challenge: Get Quiet for 5 minutes a day for 30 days!
There will be a reward for those who write about their compelling experience after the 30 days are up.
